Engaged Learning and Career Action Center for Students

The Engaged Learning and Career Action Center (ELCA) at WSU Vancouver serves as a vital hub for proactive, culturally responsive student support. By valuing each student’s unique lived experience, the center provides the high-impact tools necessary to navigate campus life and achieve long-term academic and professional milestones. Faculty and staff are invited to collaborate with ELCA to connect students with specialized coaching, career counseling, and holistic success strategies.

Academic Support and Advising

Pre-major Learning Communities

Students with similar academic interests join cohorts known as Pre-major Learning Communities. These groups work closely with Success Coaches and ELCA staff to build a strong foundation for their degree paths.

Career Action Center

Faculty and staff can refer students to the Career Action Center to jumpstart their professional development. Available resources include:

  • Professional resume and cover letter critiques.
  • Skill-building workshops and networking events.
  • One-on-one career counseling appointments.
