Get started: Attend Global Cougs 101

Attend a mandatory, virtual Global Cougs 101 information session to begin.

Global Cougs 101 is available for WSU students enrolled in the current or upcoming academic term.

Plan your global experience

Before you apply

  1. Apply for or renew your passport . Processing can take 4 to 12 weeks.
  2. Sign up for and attend a Global Cougs 101 session.
  3. Explore programs on the WSU Global Learning website .
  4. Meet with your academic advisor to plan your coursework and timeline.
  5. Contact a Global Learning advisor to discuss options and the application process.
  6. Review funding options to help finance your program.

Finances

Your state and federal financial aid may help cover the cost of studying abroad. Visit the Funding Options website to learn more. If you have not already, apply for financial aid.

Review deadlines and expenses

Be aware of payment deadlines and how you plan to pay for your program. Some expenses such as application fees, deposits, airfare, passport, and visa costs may be required before financial aid is disbursed.
