2026 Research Showcase: Celebrating Student Innovation
The 23rd Annual WSU Vancouver Research Showcase was a vibrant celebration of student research and creative activity. We extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who participated as an event planner, judge, or patron.
From 9 a.m. to noon, the Firstenburg Student Commons was filled with the impressive work of our undergraduate and graduate students across dozens of disciplines. We are proud to honor the following individuals for their outstanding contributions this year.

Showcase Presentation & Judging Guidelines
Prepare for a successful exhibition by following the specific guidelines for your category. Use the resources below to ensure your submission meets all technical and logistical standards for the event.
You must confirm your poster title, presenter names, and scheduled date/time of the presentation by emailing holly.davis@wsu.edu by 11:59 p.m. on March 25.
Poster Presentations must be emailed to holly.davis@wsu.edu by 9:00 a.m. on April 6. The email must include the poster title, presenter names, and scheduled date/time of the presentation. If you wish to have your poster printed, the email must contain a PDF file of your poster in 300dpi. Poster printing services are available at no cost to you via the Creative Media & Digital Culture program. Posters cannot exceed 42” tall by 44” wide.
Posters will be placed on a freestanding presentation board. Push pins will be provided to you to affix posters to the presentation boards. Posters must be up by 9 a.m. Doors to the Firstenburg Student Commons will be open by 8 a.m. Posters should remain up until 1 p.m. Posters not removed by 2 p.m. will be recycled.
Your Submission ID MUST be placed at the bottom right-hand corner of your poster in 16pt bold font. Failure to omit this ID number will affect the judging of your presentation. You can locate your Submission ID in your submission confirmation email.
Please arrive and check in 10 minutes prior to your confirmed judging hour. You must be available at your poster during the designated time to answer questions from the judges and visitors. If you wish to be eligible for an award, you must be present at your poster for the entire hour you selected for judging.
You may not submit more than one poster as the lead presenter. Research Technician/Postdoc are allowed to participate but are ineligible for any award.

A confirmation of your Art Exhibit presentations must be emailed to holly.davis@wsu.edu by 11:59 p.m. on March 25. The email must include the Art Exhibit title, presenter names, and scheduled date/time of the presentation.
Identify and confirm your exhibit display needs (easel, table and/or poster board) and the dimensions of your art exhibit. To be eligible to participate in Showcase, we must have these confirmation details no later than March 25 at 11:59 p.m.
Your art exhibit must be up by 9 a.m. Doors to the Firstenburg Student Commons will be open by 8 a.m. Your art exhibit should remain up until 1 p.m. All exhibits must be removed by 2 p.m. with no exceptions.
Your Submission ID will be placed on your display and must remain in effect throughout the judging of your presentation. Failure to remove the Submission ID will affect the judging of your presentation.

Three judges will be assigned to review your presentation. You will have an opportunity to present to each judge assigned to your presentation. In total, you will give your presentation at least three times. After your presentation, the judges will be able to ask in-depth questions about your research. Judges will then complete a scoring rubric and return it to the Committee for a final tally.
