Teacher Preparation and Certification Programs
This advising track supports students pursuing the Bachelor of Arts in Education as well as the Master in Teaching with either Elementary or Secondary Certification.
To arrange an in-person or Zoom advising session, Email the Teacher Preparation Academic Coordinator or call 360-546-9673. When reaching out, ensure your message includes:
- The specific certificate or degree track you want to pursue
- Copies of your unofficial transcripts if your prior coursework was completed outside of the WSU system
- Your specific undergraduate major or subject area if you are focusing on middle or high school secondary certification
- The timeframe you have chosen to begin your studies
Advanced Leadership, Graduate, and Certificate Programs
This pathway serves certified educators and professionals targeting advanced roles through Principal or Superintendent Certification, the Master of Arts in Education, the Master of Arts in Special Education, the Ed.M. in Educational Leadership, or the Ed.D. in Educational Leadership.

- The particular graduate degree or administrative credential program you intend to join
- The subject areas and disciplines of your previous college degrees
- The period when you plan to enroll and begin your coursework
