What will you do with a sociology degree?

You’ll explore how social forces shape everyday life, individual behavior, and large-scale social systems. Through coursework in theory, research methods, and data analysis, you’ll learn to critically examine social issues and interpret your findings.

  • Analyze social issues using sociological theory and real-world data.
  • Conduct and interpret research on inequality, institutions, and social behavior.
  • Apply sociological insights through internships, research, or a capstone experience.

My sociology professors at WSU Vancouver were passionate and knowledgeable and provided mentorship as much as answers. My classes were small, and the diverse students got to know each other well as we worked together.
