A student who has completed 60 semester hours may petition for a minor. The petition form for minors in Anthropology can be obtained from your academic adviser. Remember that petition forms submitted by students with less than 60 hours will not be accepted by the Registrar’s Office.
Course Requirements
To earn your minor, you must complete a total of 18 semester hours in anthropology courses. The curriculum requires the following:
- Foundational Courses: Complete three of the following options: Anth 101 (or 198), 203, 230, or 260.
- Advanced Credits: Complete at least 9 hours of coursework at the 300-level or 400-level.
- Grade Requirements: Maintain a minimum grade of C- in each individual course.

Students can formally petition for the minor once they have earned a specific number of credits.
