Intramural Sports and Open Play

Have fun, meet new friends, and get fit. The Recreation Program organizes open-play and intramural sports each week for all skill and experience levels in a safe and supportive environment.

  • Eligibility: Open to all current students, faculty, and staff.
  • Cost: All activities are free.
  • Registration: No signups required. Just drop in.

Activity Schedule

Activities occur at various locations, including local public school gyms and the Salmon Creek Indoor Sports Arena.

Indoor Basketball

Hosted at Jason Lee Middle School or Thomas Jefferson Middle School from 8 to 10 p.m.

Tennis

In partnership with the WSU Vancouver Tennis Club, hosted at the Vancouver Tennis Center from 9 to 10:30 p.m.

Indoor Soccer

Hosted at Salmon Creek Indoor Sports Arena from 7 to 9 p.m.

Participant Policy

Participation is first come, first served due to venue capacity limits. To participate, please follow these requirements:

  • Present a CougarCard to a Recreation Office staff member on-site.
  • Sign a liability waiver and a Code of Conduct agreement.
  • Students under age 18 must have a parent or legal guardian present to sign the liability waiver.

Recreation Program mission

The Recreation Program strives to inspire and engage our campus community to build and maintain healthy, active, and well-balanced lives through accessible and high quality recreational and co-curricular programming.

Recreation Program funding

The Recreation Program is fully funded by S&A Fees. Facility use, equipment rental and activity registration is only allowed for current students, faculty, and staff.
