Admission Requirements

To qualify as a transfer student, you must have attended college after high school graduation. If you earned college credit solely through Running Start or during the summer immediately following high school, please refer to first-year admission guidelines.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Grade Point Average: A minimum unweighted GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Credit Hours: At least 27 semester hours or 40 quarter hours of transferable college credit.

Additional Considerations

  • Fewer than 27 Credits: Applicants must also meet first-year admission requirements.
  • GPA Below 2.0: Your academic record will undergo a holistic review to determine eligibility.
  • Space Availability: While priority dates exist for applications, late submissions are considered if space is available. Note that deferring your start may require a new application.

Additional considerations

  • If you have fewer hours, you must also meet the first-year admission requirements.
  • If you have a lower GPA, your record will be reviewed to determine eligibility.
  • For priority consideration, submit your admission application by July 15 for fall semester (January 31 for Running Start) and Nov. 15 for spring. Later applications are accepted if space is available. If you decide to attend at a different time, you’ll have to re-apply.

Running Start?

If you earned your college credit in high school through Running Start or as part of your high school completion, follow the steps for first-year admission.
