Prepare for Leadership in Public Service

The Bachelor of Arts in Political Science program at WSU Vancouver prepares students to work for the public good. Grounded in a strong commitment to the Southwest Washington community, the curriculum is built on the foundation that effective local political science training creates impactful connections with regional and national levels of governance. Students can choose from three specialization tracks to customize their education. The general track delivers a flexible program covering American, comparative, and international politics alongside policy and public administration. The pre-law track aligns with Association of American Law Schools recommendations to prepare students for law school and legal careers. The global politics track emphasizes comparative and international politics, requiring an international experience achieved via study abroad, an international internship, or a minor in global studies or a foreign language.
