Technology shapes how people tell stories, solve problems, and connect with the world. In the digital technology and culture program at WSU Vancouver, students explore the connection between digital platforms and storytelling. Students build websites, design user experiences, produce video and animation, and experiment with emerging technologies including virtual reality, augmented reality, and artificial intelligence.

Through hands-on projects and collaborative work, students turn concepts into real digital products while learning how people engage with technology. Graduates complete the program with a portfolio and the confidence to step into both creative and technical roles across industries.

What will you create with a digital technology and culture degree?

In the digital technology and culture program, you’ll harness technology to make something meaningful. You’ll build skills, such as design thinking and critical analysis, while delving into how digital media shapes culture and communication.

Coursework spans creative and technical areas such as UX/UI design, web and app development, animation, video production, data visualization, virtual and augmented reality, and artificial intelligence.

The DTC program not only taught me about current industry technologies and standards that prepared me for the workforce but also gave me the tools I need to be a forever-learner and stay competitive as I grow in my field. Whenever I need to learn more about a digital media subject, I know I can always come to the DTC community for support!
