Washington Immunization Information System
WSU takes part in the WAIIS. This online registry helps healthcare providers and schools maintain accurate immunization records for people of all ages. Vaccinations provided at participating locations in the State of Washington are uploaded to WAIIS.
The WAIIS system is a secure, web-based tool that healthcare providers and schools use. All information in WAIIS is secure and confidential. Other information, such as past immunization records and demographics, are included in the registry to ensure your record is accurate and cannot be confused with another person. You can contact WAISS to opt out of storing storing your immunization information. Read more about accessing and managing your immunization records.
Health Insurance and Coverage Options
While health insurance is not required for most domestic students, WSU Vancouver highly recommends maintaining coverage to help pay for specialized care, emergency services, and mental health support. The Student Wellness Center provides basic care to all currently enrolled students at no cost, regardless of insurance status.
All services are strictly confidential. Your health information is not shared without written permission, except in rare legal situations involving immediate safety risks.
Insurance Coverage Options
Most students must arrange their own health coverage. Common options include:
