Cougar Food Pantry

The Cougar Food Pantry supports WSU Vancouver students by providing free food and essential supplies when additional support is needed.

Balancing the costs of college with everyday expenses can be challenging. The Cougar Food Pantry helps you access nutritious, filling meals and snacks, along with personal care items, so you can focus on your academic goals while getting the resources you need. Whether you need ingredients to prepare meals at home, a quick option between classes, or everyday essentials, the pantry provides a welcoming and confidential space where you can find support.

Eligibility

The Cougar Food Pantry is available to:

  • Currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate WSU Vancouver students
  • Clark College Nursing students studying at the WSU Vancouver campus

Senior students who are auditing classes are not eligible.

Using the Food Pantry

Stop by the Cougar Food Pantry during open hours to shop for food and essential supplies. When you visit:

  • Bring your CougarCard. If you’re a Clark College nursing student, you may use your nursing badge or Clark College ID instead.
  • Bring a reusable bag. It will make carrying your items home easier.
  • Visit once per week. You may shop at the pantry once each week.

Grab and Go

Forgot to pack lunch or need a quick meal between classes? The Cougar Food Pantry offers a ready-to-eat meal and a small snack once a week to help you save money and stay fueled throughout your day.

Available items at the Food Pantry

The Cougar Food Pantry offers a variety of food and essential supplies to help you prepare meals, grab a snack, and stock up on everyday necessities.

  • Nonperishable pantry staples: Rice, pasta, and canned goods
  • Fresh essentials: Eggs, bread, cheese, butter, and dairy and non-dairy milk
  • Instant meals and snacks
  • Breakfast foods: Cereal, oatmeal, and pancake mix
  • Baking products: Flour, sugar, baking soda, and baking powder
  • Toiletries and hygiene products: Toothpaste, toilet paper, soap, and feminine hygiene items
  • Cleaning supplies: Laundry detergent, dish soap, and cleaning spray

Donate Food and Supplies

The Cougar Food Pantry accepts donations of unexpired, nonperishable food items and essential supplies to help keep the pantry stocked for students.

Accepted Items:

  • Food: Beans, bread, boxed milk, canned fruits and vegetables, canned meats, cereal, dry baking goods, eggs, instant meals, pasta and sauce, peanut butter, and rice.
  • Supplies: Cleaning supplies, personal hygiene products, and reusable bags.
