Affordable Excellence for Out-of-State Students
The WUE Transfer Award helps eligible non-Washington resident transfer students reduce the cost of attending WSU Vancouver.

Program Limitations:
The award is available to full-time undergraduate students at WSU Vancouver. It cannot be used by graduate or international students.
The award is automatically applied to eligible students and cannot be combined with other tuition waivers. It is only valid at WSU Vancouver and cannot be used for study abroad programs. Summer sessions are excluded.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the WUE Transfer Award, you must:
- Be a new transfer student at WSU Vancouver
- Have a minimum 3.0 transfer GPA
- Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Reside outside Washington state in a WUE-participating state or U.S. territory
- Enroll full time at WSU Vancouver, with at least 12 credits per semester
- Be pursuing an eligible undergraduate, non-professional degree
How to receive the award
No separate application is required.
- Apply for admission to WSU Vancouver
- May 1 for fall term
- November 15 for spring term
- Submit all required admission materials, including official transcripts
Eligible students are notified automatically upon admission.
Renewing your award
To continue receiving the WUE Transfer Award, you must:
- Maintain good academic standing at WSU Vancouver
- Remain enrolled full time, with at least 12 credits per semester
- Complete at least 24 graded credits per academic year, excluding summer
- Maintain nonresident status
- Remain enrolled in an eligible undergraduate, non-professional degree program
The award is renewable for up to three additional years, for a maximum of eight semesters, or until you complete your first bachelor’s degree.
