Support for Transfer Excellence
The Vancouver Transfer Achievement Award recognizes high-achieving transfer students who plan to complete their bachelor’s degree at WSU Vancouver.
Award Information
| Enrollment per Term | Award Amount |
| 6 – 8 credits | $600 per term |
| 9 – 11 credits | $900 per term |
| 12+ credits | $1,200 per term |
Maximum award: Up to $4,800 over three years.
Program Limitations:
The award amount is based on the number of credits you take each term.
This award cannot be combined with other WSU Vancouver tuition discount programs. It is only valid at WSU Vancouver and cannot be used if you enroll at another WSU campus. Summer sessions are excluded.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Vancouver Transfer Achievement Award, you must:
- Be admitted as a new transfer student at WSU Vancouver
- Have a minimum 3.6 cumulative transfer GPA on a 4.0 scale
- Have earned at least 27 transferable semester credits or 40 transferable quarter credits
- Be a Washington resident for tuition-paying purposes
How to receive the award
No separate application is required.
- Apply for admission to WSU Vancouver by:
- November 15 for spring term
- August 7 for fall term
- Submit all required admission materials
Eligible students are notified when they are admitted to WSU Vancouver. No separate application, essay or letter of recommendation is required.
Renewing your award
To continue receiving the Vancouver Transfer Achievement Award, you must:
- Maintain a 3.2 cumulative WSU GPA
- Remain enrolled at WSU Vancouver, with at least 6 credits per term
- Continue as a transfer student at WSU Vancouver
The award is renewable for up to two additional years, for a total of three years, as long as you continue to meet the renewal requirements.
