New Coug Orientation

Welcome to WSU Vancouver! We are so excited you chose to become a VanCoug!

Maybe you’ve attended another pre-orientation program, or this is your first time stepping onto campus. No matter where you’re starting, the New Coug Orientation team is ready to help you connect, prepare and make the most of your first days at WSU Vancouver.

New Coug Orientation helps you navigate campus life, build helpful study habits and feel more confident as you settle into your role as a VanCoug. You’ll experience:

• Campus tours to familiarize yourself with classrooms, campus services and other key locations
• Information sessions on academic expectations, study skills, and campus resources
• Opportunities to meet fellow students, peer mentors, and staff
• Guidance on course registration and advising
• Insights into student clubs, events, extracurriculars and campus resources
• Department open houses for transfer students to meet faculty and students in their major
