Business Growth MAP Process

Our teams will follow a systematic consulting approach allowing the students to analyze your organization and develop informed, actionable recommendations. The following process is typical of our growth assessments. Different assessment types vary according to the client’s needs. Business Growth MAP uses an effective analysis and consulting model.

Your team will meet with you to better understand your business and learn the specific needs for your company’s growth.

The team will get to know your business, conducting an assessment that includes financial analysis, gaining a basic understanding of your customer value proposition, key resources, operations, processes and your organization’s core competencies. Once they understand the business, the team will create a scope of work.

Next, the team will look for opportunities and challenges facing your organization, and will explore critical success factors and best practices to discover possible solutions. The volunteer business professional (mentor) and student team will meet with you at the end of this phase to present their diagnostic assessment report.

The team will use what they have learned from the assessment to develop clear, actionable recommendations for your company. At the end of this phase, the team and their mentor will meet with you to present a solutions report.

The team will spend time pulling together everything they have learned into a final implementation report that includes next steps for your company and the necessary detail to implement each of the team’s recommendations. The team will present their findings to you, their mentor and WSU Vancouver faculty and staff.

After the students’ work is complete, the mentor and program manager will follow up with you to assist in implementation and answer any questions.

You will be asked to complete two evaluations, the first at the conclusion of the project and the last after a one-year check-in. Both are designed to measure the impact of the program.
