Expand Your Research with Worldwide Library Resources
Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a service to request materials not found in WSU or Summit libraries from other national and international libraries. This service is available for currently registered WSU Vancouver students, and current faculty and staff. If you are not currently affiliated with WSU Vancouver, use your local public library for interlibrary loan requests.

All ILL requesting and management will be done in one spot: through Search It and your Search It Account.
Requesting Materials Through Search It
Our unified library system manages all interlibrary loan, Summit, and document delivery requests in a single location.
Access the Search It Portal
Navigate to the Search It Catalog and log in using your WSU Network ID and password.
Select Your Search Scope
Use the Articles, Books, and More search scope to browse items outside of our local collection. You can also expand your search using the WSU Libraries + Summit scope to check regional consortium collections.
Submit Your Request
Click the request options displayed next to your desired item. If the item does not appear in your search results, manually enter the citation details into the online Interlibrary Loan Form.
Alternative Database Method
When browsing external library research databases, click the Find It @ WSU link or button next to any citation to automatically generate a request.
Delivery and Account Notifications
You will receive an automated email notification as soon as your digital or physical items become available for pickup or download. For a deeper look at the process, review the detailed step-by-step instructions.
Resource Sharing via Summit and Historical Accounts
Summit is the regional resource sharing network that WSU Libraries use to exchange physical books with partner institutions in the Orbis Cascade Alliance. These requests are built directly into your main library account.
If you need to view historical loan records or requests submitted prior to our system integration, you can log in to the legacy ILLiad System Portal using your standard network credentials. Please note that all active and future requests must be placed through Search It.
