Program Limitations:
This award is valid only for students enrolled at the Vancouver campus. It is not transferable to other campuses within the Washington State University system. Funding is contingent upon full-time enrollment status. A limited number of awards are distributed each cycle; meeting minimum criteria does not guarantee a selection if funds have been exhausted.
Application Process
There is no separate scholarship application, essay, or letter of recommendation required for this award. Consideration is automatic for all students who complete the following:
- Submit a formal application for admission to the university.
- Provide all required admission materials, including official transcripts.
- Confirm admission and enrollment by the established campus deadlines.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Vancouver Academic Achievement Award, students must meet the following standards:
- Maintain a minimum 3.8 unweighted high school GPA on a 4.0 scale.
- Classify as a Washington resident for tuition purposes.
- Plan to enroll as a first-time, full-time undergraduate student at the Vancouver campus.
Scholarship Renewal
The award is renewable for up to three additional years, totaling four years of undergraduate support. To maintain eligibility, recipients must:
- Maintain a 3.2 cumulative GPA at the university.
- Successfully complete at least 24 graded credits per academic year.
- Maintain continuous full-time enrollment of at least 12 credits per term.
