PDX Tuition Advantage

Affordable Education for Oregon Residents

The PDX Tuition Advantage allows eligible Oregon residents from Clackamas, Multnomah and Washington counties to pay in-state tuition rates at WSU Vancouver. This program can help you save more than $17,000 per year compared with standard nonresident tuition while earning a WSU degree.

The PDX Tuition Advantage is available for undergraduate students, including transfer, former and post-baccalaureate degree-seeking students.

Program Limitations:

This program does not apply to graduate or international students.

The PDX Tuition Advantage is only valid at WSU Vancouver and cannot be combined with other WSU Vancouver tuition discount programs. It cannot be used for study abroad programs. Summer sessions are excluded.

Eligibility criteria

To be considered for the PDX Tuition Advantage, you must:

  • Be an Oregon resident of Clackamas, Multnomah or Washington county for at least 90 days before the start of the fall or spring semester
  • Meet WSU Vancouver admission requirements
  • Enroll in at least 9 credits per semester
  • Be an undergraduate, transfer, former or post-baccalaureate degree-seeking student

How to receive the award

You must apply for admission to WSU Vancouver and complete the PDX Tuition Advantage verification process.

Complete the verification form

After you are admitted, complete the PDX Tuition Advantage Verification Form at least three weeks before the start of the fall or spring semester in which you plan to enroll.

The form requires documentation showing your current Oregon address.

Receive confirmation

You’ll be notified by email if you qualify. If approved, your student account will automatically be adjusted to reflect the in-state tuition rate.

Renewing your award

The PDX Tuition Advantage is renewable each fall and spring semester if you continue to:

  • Remain enrolled at WSU Vancouver.
  • Enroll in at least 9 credits per semester
  • Reside in Clackamas, Multnomah or Washington county, Oregon
