The WSU Vancouver Department of Public Safety is committed to a safe, informed campus environment through education and proactive engagement with the community to promote safety and to prevent crime. WSU Vancouver encourages accurate and prompt reporting of all criminal activity to the campus police or the appropriate police agencies (including Clark County Sheriff’s Office and the Vancouver Police Department). This applies whether the victim chooses to report the crime directly or is unable to do so.
While WSU Vancouver Department of Public Safety plays a central role in campus safety, individual awareness and responsibility are equally important. All members of the campus community are encouraged to remain alert, exercise sound judgement, and report suspicious or criminal activity. Non-emergency incidents can be reported by calling 360-546-9001 and emergencies should be reported immediately by dialing 911.
