Advanced Placement (AP)
Students may earn college credit based on scores from the College Board Advanced Placement Exams. While many students enroll in AP courses to prepare, the exams are open to any student seeking to demonstrate subject mastery.
College Level Examination Program (CLEP)
The CLEP allows you to receive college credit for what you already know. By earning qualifying scores on any of the 34 available examinations, you can gain credit for knowledge acquired through independent study, prior coursework, on-the-job training, professional development, or internships.
Running Start (RS)
High school students in grades 11 and 12 can earn high school and college credit simultaneously by taking courses at participating institutions of higher education. To ensure your credits apply toward your degree, request that your official college transcripts be sent directly to the WSU Vancouver Office of Admissions.
International Baccalaureate (IB)
The IB Diploma Programme is a rigorous curriculum recognized by leading global universities. This program encourages students to ask challenging questions, develop a strong sense of identity, and build cross-cultural communication skills. WSU Vancouver awards credit for successful completion of IB exams.
Cambridge Credit
WSU awards credit for each Cambridge A-level exam completed with a passing grade. These international standards provide an excellent foundation for university-level success.
